Early Monster Swingarm Sliders
Your Price: $59.99
Swingarm sliders protect the swingarm, rear axle, and axle nut in a crash and slide. The most common type of swingarm slider is a combination spool/slider, but these are prone to failure. Either the relatively small bolts holding the spools on shear off or the tabs themselves tear off the swingarm when the spools hit the ground. These swingarm sliders fit around the axle nuts and are supported by those nuts when impacted from straight on or from the side. The parts are CNC machined from solid polymer rod for superior strength, fit and finish. This kit installs in minutes with only a 5mm key key. They remove just as quickly for maintenance and can be reinstalled virtually an unlimited number of times.
Note: There are at least 3 different rear axles used on early Monsters and even Ducati themselves cannot tell us which ones are used on any particular model. This kit requires that the axle is hollow all the way through with at least a 5/16" (8mm) inner diameter and be 13" (334mm) long. You can check this by passing a 5/16" wooden dowel through until one end is even with the end of the axle, them marking the other end with a pencil. This will both allow you to measure the length of the axle and to ensure that the axle is completely hollow.
Kit 150-0025 contains 2 swingarm sliders, 1 aluminum connecting rod, stainless steel fasteners, 2 RhinoMoto logo stickers and installation instructions.
